Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect the information you choose to share with us, like your email and ZIP code, plus basic data about how you use our site. We use it to tell you when and where you can taste Blanc, to answer you, to improve what we make and to measure our ads. We do not sell your personal information for money. You can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
Blanc is a brand of NovaVya Inc., a small food company based in Utah ("NovaVya," "we," "us"). We are in pre-launch, making our first product in small batches.
This policy covers our websites (including blanc.novavya.com and novavya.com), our emails and text messages, our social media pages when you interact with us there, our in-person tastings and events, and any online store or other service we offer in the future that links to this policy (together, the "Services").
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Sign-ups: your email address, first name and ZIP code when you join our tasting list.
- Business inquiries: name, business email, company name, location, business type and similar details if you contact us as a retailer, partner or wholesale buyer.
- Feedback: your answers when you rate a sample or respond to a survey, and your email address if you include it.
- Messages: what you send us by email, social media or other channels.
- When we sell online (future): name, shipping and billing address, phone number, order history and preferences. Payments will be handled by third-party payment processors. We will not store your full card number.
- Text messages (future): your mobile number, if you choose to sign up for texts.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our websites, we and our partners collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, the link that brought you to us and how you interact with the page. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Section 5).
Information from others
We may receive information from social media platforms when you interact with our pages, and aggregated reports from our advertising partners.
3. How we use your information
- To tell you about tastings, the first places that carry Blanc, our launch and other news you signed up for.
- To respond to questions, partner and wholesale inquiries.
- To learn from your feedback and improve our products and packaging.
- To process and deliver orders, and provide customer support, once we sell online.
- To run promotions or programs you choose to join.
- To understand how our site and content perform, and to measure and improve our advertising.
- To keep our Services secure, prevent fraud and comply with the law.
4. How we share your information
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, shipping and customer support tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and marketing partners, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, to measure our ads and show our ads to people who may be interested. Under some U.S. state laws, this may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." See Section 8 to opt out.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: if NovaVya is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you. We do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Cookies, pixels and ads
We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to understand how people use our websites and to measure our advertising. These include the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics.
Third parties, including Meta and Google, may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our websites and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and to target ads. We may also share a hashed (scrambled) version of an email address with an advertising partner to find people who already know us or people similar to them.
Your choices:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.
- Manage ads from Meta in your Facebook ad preferences and from Google in My Ad Center.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at aboutads.info/choices and optout.networkadvertising.org.
Our websites do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
6. Emails and text messages
Email. If you join our list, we will email you about what you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, where available, by replying "unsubscribe," or by writing to contact [at] novavya.com. We may still send messages about an order or request you made.
Text messages (when available). We will text you only if you give us express consent. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.
7. Promotions, incentives and chat (when available)
If we offer a discount, giveaway or other benefit in exchange for information, such as joining our list, we will explain the terms at the time, and you can withdraw at any time. If we offer a chat feature, it may be supported by automated or AI tools from our service providers. Please do not share sensitive information, such as health details, in a chat.
8. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop sending you marketing; and
- stop using or sharing your information for targeted advertising.
Residents of some states, such as California, Colorado, Virginia and Utah, may have additional rights under their state's law. We will honor the rights that apply to you.
To make a request, email contact [at] novavya.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may ask you to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address you gave us. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our answer. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
9. How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to respect that choice. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
10. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States, and your information will be processed here.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as Blanc grows, for example when we begin selling online or launch text messages. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you directly when a change is significant.
